Hello, my name is (name sign) DE. I was born and raised in Fresno, CA, which is the center of California. Iām deaf, gay and Jewish. I have been in all kinds of schools ranging from oral school to deaf institution. Iāve already experienced all of them! Now, Iām retired. Iāve moved and am living in Palm Desert. I retired from school administration. Why am I involved with CAD? Itās a habit by seeing my family, whether deaf or hearing, get actively involved at school, local organizations, churches, temples, deaf community events, deaf agencies, all of the things my parents are excited about being involved in all of them. So Iāve grown up seeing my parents being involved so it became a part of who I am so here I am! I hope as your president in transition so it means in 2025 the transition will be completed and ready for the next future team! Thank you.
