BEGIN TRANSCRIPT: Coronavirus has impacted so many of us. Let’s keep some things in mind and here are the following:
1. According to CDC, for good hygiene, frequently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds especially after sneezing, coughing, blowing your nose, and even touching anything. If washing hands at the moment is not possible, use hand sanitizer. Keep social distancing to prevent from getting sick from others. If you are sick yourself, wear a mask (if you are to go out).
2. Try to remain calm. Stay tuned with the news with interpreters by the speakers, read captions or use your phone to know what is happening in your area. When you go out for groceries and see workers wearing masks, you can communicate through your device using apps to find different ways to communicate like writing with your own paper/pen or phone.
3. Use resources provided by one of the 8 Deaf agencies we have in California. Look for the agency closest to your home and look through their website to determine how they can support you with situations that might arise.
We care about the Deaf Community and we hope you stay healthy and remain calm.
