Hello everyone all over in California! My name is Hugh Lafler, treasurer for CAD. I grew up in Illinois near Chicago and then moved to California at two years old. Raised in both public and private schools. How did I get involved in the deaf community? At CSUN! Whoa! Everyone was signing and trying to pick up sign language! As time went on, I ended up working at NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing for 26 years now. Why am I involved with CAD? I love politics! Looking to the future of youth, ages in between, senior citizens, BIPOC plus various communities. I wanted to get involved and invest in our future! Never take things for granted. ILY!
