On Friday, October 12th, California Association of the Deaf (CAD), San Francisco Deaf Club (SFDC), and Deaf Counseling Advocacy & Referral Agency (DCARA) will be hosting Town Hall Event to welcome National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Board to the Bay Area.
NEW UPDATE: The event will be at the Deaf Community Center (DCC) in San Leandro from 7 to 9 PM. The event is free of charge. There will be no dinner buffet at the event. Dinner will be on your own. CAD would like to thank DCARA for sponsoring the Town Hall by providing the Deaf Community Center. We wanted to share that DCC’s capacity is 125 people (with seats and some standing).
The event was orgininally planned to be held at the Veteran Memorial Hall Building in Pleasanton. CAD would like to recognize and appreciate SFDC for taking care of the venue deposit and food. Due to community concerns and suggestions, we discussed and decided to make sure that the location and transportation to the Town Hall event is friendly, accessible, and comfortable for everyone.
We look forward having you at the Town Hall event at the Deaf Community Center on Friday, October 12th to welcome NAD Board to the Bay Area. This is a great opportunity for us to interact and share ideas/suggestions with the NAD Board.
